Customer:
The customer is a British company with its headquarters in London, which specializes in BPO, having clients in central and local government, and in the private sector. It has had a full listing on the London Stock Exchange since 1991.
It is the leading supplier of information systems and services to the education and children's services sector and the most popular management information system for schools and is used every day by more than 22,000 educational establishments in the U.K.
Project Description:
The application is the UK’s register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. The system was written about 7 years ago and was not designed to be delivered by internet technology.
The new system is a web-based application that allows:
- Suppliers to register / submit key data questionnaires and company documentation such as Health and Safety certificates so that they can gain approval/accreditation.
- Buyers can also search these approved contractors by work category, location and other criteria and create a list. They can also create tenders, award a contract and supply feedback on the performance of the Contractor.
