December 15th, 2009 – at Prime Minister’s palace, Mr. Bui Hoang Tung, Director of FPT USA was given the Golden Globe awards 2009 for young IT talent.  He has been the second member of FPT Corporation achieving this honorable awards to date. Previously, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Director of FPT Asia Pacific also achieved this award in 2007.

 

Mr. Bui Hoang Tung is the pioneer of FPT who put his first step in Japan, Singapore and France to explore the markets. He is also the first one who established and managed big accounts of the company namely IBM, Hitachi, NEC, NTT, Nissen …. Since October 2008, in the circumstance of global economics crisis, Tung proved his strong determination to conquer the U.S market. Only three months of operation from the establishment day, FPT USA’s revenue in 2009 has rocketed by 300% in comparison with that of 2008, making it the only unit having outstanding growth rate in the company. 
“Golden Globe” is the annual awards for young IT talents hosted by the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee and Science & Technology Ministry, starting from 2002. Aside from honoring young IT talents nationwide, the awards also makes contribution to the development of IT industry of Vietnam.
